July 2008
This is issue 12, Volume One, of Colorado Springs Record+. We wish our readers the best during this month’s celebration of our country’s birth, and we have showcased three talented individuals who bring much pride to Colorado Springs and beyond.
Paul Harvey’s interview with CSR+ speaks for itself. Our readers would do well to settle in to one of Professor Harvey’s books to better understand what we mean by America. Richard Skorman, no less an American patriot, brings a sense of vitality to his definition of what committed Americans do for their neighbors. Craig Decker has created a virtual community for all to enjoy whether they be academically involved or dedicated to the sports scene. We thank all three of our illustrious talents because they each represent a unique part of American life.
If you know of any individual or organization that you think has made a positive and significant difference in Colorado Springs, please send an e-mail to editor@coloradosprings.org. Include name, address, and your reason for nominating this person or organization. If you wish to contribute an article to CSR+, please write to us as well.
As always, we invite potential sponsors and advisers to contact us at marketing@coloradaosprings.org. We wish you all a safe summer holiday. Be safe, keep in touch, and know we appreciate your good wishes.
Sincerely,
J and M

Issue 11, Volume One, of Colorado Springs Record+ takes pride in celebrating the accomplishments of two noteworthy contributors to the academic and art scene in Colorado Springs. Steve Staley and Ric Helstrom are among the best of the best because they have devoted their lives to establishing a solid academic and artistic foundation in their workplaces and beyond. We trust that you will join us in celebrating them as true Renaissance men.
Joining Steve and Ric are Lisa Jesse and Dr. Martin C. Carlisle, innovations experts in computer performance. Both Lisa and Martin have created a vital environmental venue that serves each member of Colorado Springs on multiple levels.

April 2008
This is the ninth issue of Colorado Springs Record+. The issue is filled with many kudos for graduating students within our Colorado Springs universities, and we hope that you will add your congratulations to ours if you happen to meet them.
This issue of CSR+ features Margie Teals-Davis, Executive Assistant to the Dean of the UCCS College of Letters Arts and Sciences. Margie provides a strong support system upon which our students, staff, faculty, and administration grow the LAS program at UCCS..
Our article on The Colorado Springs Undergraduate Research Forum provides spot-on reporting of the CSURF Exposition held this year at the United States Air Force Academy. You will see from our photo essay that young men and women from three major universities have succeeded in defending the colors of their disciplines, thereby demonstrating extraordinary academic savvy that signals the beginning of their academic research initiative.
Two Watson scholars, John Zirkle and Brian Hockaday, take center stage as winners of this most prestigious prize for research potential. Their interviews provide an inside view of projects that drive their scholarly motivation. We look forward to return interviews with both these young scholars when they return from their year abroad.
We encourage you to step up and be counted among the involved readers of CSR+. Please support our efforts with your comments, suggestions, and proposed advertising plans. Your business or organization can only grow if you allow it to be seen on line!
May this Spring season allow you to flourish.

March 2008
This is the eighth issue of Colorado Springs Record+. We are up and running, literally, as you can see from the numbers of people whom we celebrate in this issue. Thanks for your ongoing interest. Thanks for your feedback as well!
Our objective in bringing CSR+ to you is to showcase activities and achievements of individuals and organizations that enrich Colorado Springs. We also bring you reviews and descriptions of cultural events, artistic efforts, intellectual activities, and other special occasions in our city.
This issue of CSR+ features Ramaswami Dandapani, educator extraordinaire at UCCS. His interview with J speaks for itself. The UCCS International Women’s Day celebration on March 8th is especially close to our hearts because the students and faculty responded enthusiastically to an event that could well have seemed entirely too unfamiliar to them. They are growing in their understanding of the importance of international collaboration because we are all connected.
Special thanks to the folks at Jack Quinns. We are proud that they shared their 10-year anniversary plans with us.
If you know of any individual or organization that has made a positive and significant difference in Colorado Springs, please send an e-mail to editor@coloradosprings.org. Include name, address, and your reason for nominating this person for recognition.
All the best to you and yours this third month of 2008.
