This is the fourth monthly issue of Colorado Springs Record+. Our online audience is growing, and we continue to explore the exciting people, places, and things that make our community special.

Our objective in bringing out CSR+ to the Colorado Springs community and beyond is to highlight activities and achievements of individuals and organizations that make life rich and pleasurable in our beautiful hometown by Pikes Peak! CSR+ also strives to bring our readers reviews and descriptions of cultural performances, artistic efforts, intellectual activities, and other life-enriching activities in our city.

This issue of CSR+ features Professor Constance Staley, Professor of Communication at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Professor Staley is a noted international master of communication arts who has dedicated her academic life to improving students’ success in the university setting. She has also spearheaded personnel development programs in private industry, no mean feat for a lady who travels around the world facilitating workshops and creating an ongoing series of classes with an individualized focus on sociocultural excellence.

We showcase as well Alice Helstrom, whose dedication to creating art for the soul has led taken her to market places around the world. Thanks to Alice, many residents of Colorado Springs and beyond have enriched their private wardrobe collections, enhanced their home décor, and created a rich cultural ambiance in their personal and professional lives.

Our featured academic/sportsman RC is the third of our stars in this issue. He is fast becoming a household word at UCCS because of his dedication to academic involvement and his personal mission to represent the USA in Olympic sports.

If you, esteemed reader, know of any individual or organization who you think has made a positive and significant difference in Colorado Springs, please send an e-mail to editor@colosprings.org. Include name, address, and your reason for nominating this person or organization for recognition. In the future we plan to include achievement reports from K-12 schools as well. If you are a student or a parent of a student in K-12, please encourage your child to become a reporter for us.

We intend to produce CR+ as an Internet-only magazine for the time being. Once we obtain sponsors or advertisers, we shall publish hard copies as well. If you know of anyone interested in receiving this Internet magazine, please request that s/he subscribe to it at our Website, www.colosprings.org. We also invite potential sponsors and advertisers to contact CSR+ at marketing@colosprints.org

Last but by no means least, we wish you and yours a most auspicious Thanksgiving. May this season be one to remember with joy.

Sincerely,

J and M

Jugal Kalita and Margaret Mistry
