The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS) has developed a new and exciting family of undergraduate majors called Bachelors of Innovation (BI) scheduled to begin in Fall, 2007. These new degrees combine elements of engineering and business to structure a unique curriculum that will prepare graduates as innovators and entrepreneurs who can work well in multi-disciplinary team environments. The programs of study are so unique that the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs has trademarked the term “Bachelor of Innovation” to describe them. We dedicate the premier issue of Colorado Springs Record+ to the memory of those who excelled in their lifetime and gave so much of themselves in order to create the peaceful, prosperous lifestyle we enjoy in Colorado Springs and in America. We dedicate this and future issues of Colorado Springs Record+ to the activities and achievements of those individuals and organizations that make a positive difference in our lives and in our hometown. Our objective in publishing CSR+ is to showcase these individuals and organizations, ocus on their accomplishments, and celebrate their success.
We plan to distribute CSR+ on the fifteenth day of each month. In addition to showcasing (commercial or non-commercial) individuals and organizations, Colorado Springs Record+ will bring you reviews and descriptions of superior restaurants, noteworthy cultural performances, charity functions, and other events that make our life in Colorado Springs full and immensely enjoyable.
If you, our esteemed reader, know of any individual or organization that you think has made a positive and significant difference in Colorado Springs, please send an email to editor@colosprings.org. Include name, address, and your reason for nominating this person or organization for recognition.
We intend to produce Colorado Springs Record+ initially as an Internet-only magazine. Once we obtain sponsors or advertisers, we shall publish hard copies of CSR+.
